Mapledoodles

A tasty maple twist to the classic snickerdoodle cookie. Enjoy!

Ingredients

  • 16 tablespoons (227g) unsalted butter, or a combination of half butter and half vegetable shortening

  • 1 cup (156g) maple sugar

  • 1/2 cup (99g) granulated sugar

  • 2 teaspoons cream of tartar

  • 1 teaspoon salt

  • 2 large eggs

  • 1/2 teaspoon maple flavor

  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda

  • 2 3/4 cups (333g) King Arthur Unbleached All-Purpose Flour

Topping

  • 2 tablespoons (20g) maple sugar

  • 2 tablespoons (25g) granulated sugar

Maple Glaze (optional)

  • 1 1/2 cups (170g) confectioners' sugar or glazing sugar

  • 2 tablespoons (39g) maple syrup

  • 2 to 3 tablespoons (43g to 57g) heavy cream

  • 1/4 teaspoon maple flavor
