Our story

After dairying for 25 years, we made the decision to exit the industry in 2004. It didn’t take long for us to miss the connection with the land, so the following year we decided to grow some pumpkins and sell them in the fall. Our first year of pumpkins sold out quickly — thus, an idea was born. With each season, our offerings, both in the market and seasonally, expanded to include vegetables, fruits, bedding plants, vegetable plants, hanging baskets, Christmas trees and holiday greenery, local meats, and cheeses.

Our handcrafted shop, also known as Queen Bee Creations, was established in 2002. Born from a passion for sewing and creating, our handcrafted items include fleece mittens, children’s clothing, blankets, and housewares such as potholders and dish towels.

In 2016, we became certified by the Community Accreditation for Produce Safety (CAPS), which is a program of the Vermont Vegetable and Berry Growers Association (VVBGA). We re-certify each year.

Our values

Our market is stocked with high-quality products, priced reasonably for our community members. We believe that everyone should be able to afford fresh produce and meats, quality plants, and be able to fill their pantries without spending their entire paycheck.
